In May 2003 Hotel Alexander joined the group of the most famous antique structures in Cracow’s Old Town by opening the gates for Our Honourable Guests. The location of the hotel, only 200 meters away from the Main Square, is its unquestionable advantage as most monuments and prestigious spots are located exactly in the heart of the Old City, which is only a walk away.

A group of professionals from the hotel, tourism, marketing and catering branch looks after Our Guests’ peaceful and comfortable rest. Our professional staff is at your disposal at any time, to help and inform about monuments which are worth seeing in the city of kings. We also help in organizing trips to the places listed on the World Cultural Heritage List like: Tyniec, Wieliczka, Oświęcim, Częstochowa, Zakopane and others. The delicious Polish and international cuisine dishes may be savored by 50 people at the same time in our hotel restaurant. Professional chefs put much effort in creating an exquisite menu which will satisfy even the most sophisticated tastes, and the waiters will help you to pick a suitable dish. You are also invited to try our drink-bar which offers a wide variety of beverages and alcohol products.

The hotel is in the heart of Krakow and close to all of the city's main attractions. It is just 200 metres from the enormous main market square and Sukiennice - Krakow's famous Cloth Hall. Krakow’s Wawel castle is just over a kilometre away and the 14 century buildings of the Jagiellonian University are also close by. Kościół Mariacki, or St Mary’s Church, is just a short walk from the hotel.

By Air: The nearest airport is Krakow’s John Paul II International Airport in Balice, 20 km from the hotel. The best way to get from the airport to the hotel is by taxi. By prior request the hotel can arrange transfers by taxi to and from the airport. By Train: The nearest train station is Dworzec Główny which is 1.5km from the hotel. From the train station take the number 4 tram or the number 124 bus. By Car: The nearest main road is Aleja Krasińskiego. From Aleja Krasińskiego, turn on to Łobzowska Street and carry on to the end. Turn right on to Garbarska Street.
